Located on beautiful "Golden Pond", Camp Hale has provided a safe summer program for Boston children since 1900. Dr. Edward Everett Hale, author of "Man Without a Country," provided inspiration for the founders of the camp and they, in turn, named a Boston settlement house and the camp after their mentor.
Our alumni group is dedicated to the perpetuation of Camp Hale and the friendships that we developed during our years there. To that end, we hold a number of fund raising programs each year:
* an alumni weekend, held each summer at camp
* the famous and funny alumni weekend auction
* our very popular golf tournament
* the appeal letter sent to our membership
* a "Blues Night" featuring live music sure to please.
Services provided:
* sponsoring a number of campers to attend camp
* referring candidates for camp staff positions
* developing an endowment fund
* site work before and after the camp season
* helping to fund the camp agency
* sponsoring special activities for the campers
* regular newsletters and organizational meetings.
